Promotion of resource-efficient, intermodal mobility in Lower Austria

In Lower Austria, the state promotes activities and measures aimed at developing resource-efficient, cross-modal mobility. With particular consideration of the modes of transport within the environmental alliance, concepts in the areas of infrastructure, smart cities & regions, as well as environmental and nature conservation, are supported. Climate protection, urban development, digitalization, and energy efficiency also belong to the thematic focal points. The type of funding: grant enables the implementation of innovative pilot projects as well as advanced basic research in the areas of "information," "coordination," or "awareness-raising." Applications can be submitted continuously from January 1, 2014, until the budget is exhausted.

Public institutions, non-profit organizations, and companies with headquarters or operational areas in Lower Austria are eligible for funding. The support is aimed at project sponsors who wish to implement measures for efficient resource use and the networking of different transport modes. A prerequisite is alignment with the goals of the Lower Austrian State Mobility Concept and assignment to one of the defined areas of impact. Thanks to the continuous funding opportunity, project plans can be flexibly adapted to local requirements. Interested organizations benefit from financial support in implementing information campaigns, traffic concepts, or mobility-related basic research. By incorporating the environmental alliance and digital control, the program contributes to sustainable mobility throughout Lower Austria.
