Promotion of Development Policy Measures

The program "Promotion of Development Policy Measures" of the State Chancellery Rhineland-Palatinate supports projects focused on information and educational work related to development policy in developing countries as well as in Rhineland-Palatinate. It is aimed at non-profit organizations, public institutions, development policy NGOs, church institutions, and municipalities that wish to promote innovative approaches in the fields of education, development cooperation, training and further education, as well as agriculture and rural development. This grant is intended to provide financial support to projects and enhance their visibility. Funding applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, enabling continuous support for long-term projects.

The funding program is distinguished by a clear objective aimed at initiating and further developing programs for development policy information and educational work. The funds raised – up to €5,000 per project – are available within the framework of co-financing, requiring a 10% own contribution of the total project sum. With a funding rate of 90%, a significant portion of the financing is covered, allowing initiators to focus on the substantive implementation of their projects even with limited resources.
