Description
The Foundation Opportunities for Children through Play supports nationwide initiated, non-profit projects aimed at promoting the mental and psychological development of children through play. Only clearly defined initiatives that do not incur ongoing costs and are closely related to play and toy activities are considered. Funding is provided in the form of a grant covering up to 50% of the total project costs, provided the applicant is recognized as a non-profit organization and the project aligns with the foundation's statutory purpose.
Eligible organizations may submit applications at any time using a standardized form. In addition to the completed application form, a current certificate of non-profit status must be submitted. The selection process includes a review by the board, which is usually completed within one month. Projects with ongoing costs or those that fall outside the thematic scope of child development through play are not eligible for funding. The foundation’s goal is to strengthen actors who offer children valuable development opportunities through creative play concepts, educational toy initiatives, or innovative play spaces. This approach sets sustainable impulses that highlight the importance of play in educational and social projects and support long-term research.
