Description
The State of Styria supports family-related projects in the areas of social affairs, children and youth, engagement for social cohesion/democracy, as well as work & social issues with ongoing, unlimited grants. The goal is to create framework conditions and educational offerings that strengthen families in their diversity and self-responsibility. Non-profit organizations, educational institutions, private individuals, and public institutions with activities or headquarters in Styria are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time before the project starts and are reviewed quarterly in allocation rounds. The application process is free of charge and is conducted electronically through the funding management of the A6 Department of Society. The funding aims to support initiatives that contribute to the implementation of strategic objectives in the family sector and simultaneously serve as a model for equal recognition of different life concepts.
Prerequisites for funding are alignment with the family impact goal, commitment to a personal contribution, and proof of primary residence or activity in Styria. Submissions must be complete and submitted before the project begins. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material costs, and project-related expenditures; ongoing costs without project relation, construction measures, and internal training and further education are not funded. Evaluation criteria particularly include the contribution to family objectives, adherence to funding principles, professional quality, and sustainability aspects. For projects with a financial requirement exceeding 15,000 euros, a detailed concept must be submitted. Decisions on applications are communicated in writing, and after project completion, proof of use and activity reports must be submitted. Through this transparent and targeted funding, family-friendly initiatives in Styria are sustainably strengthened.
