Funding for Rail Single Wagonload Traffic in Tyrol

The funding program Single Wagonload Rail Transport in Tyrol aims to shift freight transport climate-friendly from road to rail and thereby implement the objectives of the Tyrolean Sustainability and Climate Strategy. Funding is provided for single wagons in rail freight transport that are transported between January 1 and December 31, 2025. With a total budget of 250,000 euros, small and medium-sized enterprises based in Tyrol receive a direct grant that partially covers the transport costs for single wagonload shipments. This not only strengthens regional infrastructure but also makes an important contribution to environmental and nature conservation.

Companies can submit their applications electronically as soon as the project start is possible from January 1, 2025. Requirements include proof of single wagons transported during the funding period, a confirmation from a railway undertaking regarding the comparative figures of the previous year (January 1 to December 31, 2024), as well as corresponding invoices with payment confirmations. The application deadline is January 31, 2026 or upon exhaustion of the allocated funds. Within a twelve-month term, the program offers transparent processing and clear documentation requirements to provide companies with efficient prospects for a sustainable and economically attractive transport solution in Tyrol.
