Description
The funding for equipping the disaster service of the fire departments in Burgenland supports the state fire command as well as the district warning centers in their important task of acting quickly and effectively in emergencies and disasters. Since January 1, 2014, funds have been continuously available in the form of a grant to procure technically high-quality equipment, protective clothing, and emergency vehicles. The goal is to maintain operational capability at a uniform, modern standard and thereby increase the safety of the population in Burgenland.
Eligible for funding are exclusively public institutions based in Burgenland, namely the state fire command and the district warning centers. All acquisition costs for equipping the disaster service are considered eligible expenses. A prerequisite for a grant is a fully completed funding application as well as the submission of invoices for the procured equipment. Applications can be submitted until the allocated budget is exhausted, ensuring flexible and needs-based support.
