Description

The funding for the barrier-free equipment of a passenger car in Tyrol supports private individuals with disabilities according to § 3 lit. a TTHG in compensating the additional costs for technical adaptations. As an income-dependent grant, it covers up to 100% of the proven additional expenses, but no more than €17,000. Eligibility to apply is limited exclusively to persons with Austrian citizenship (or equivalent) and main residence in Tyrol, who register a new vehicle in their name and do not own any other motor vehicle. The aim of the funding is to sustainably secure mobility and participation by implementing appropriate and economically justifiable conversions and installations by qualified specialist companies.

For the application, full proof of the costs of technically necessary adaptations must be submitted: original invoice, proof of payment, and if applicable, a copy of the invoice marked "corresponds to the original" by another cost bearer. In addition, the official form "Application for Grant Approval" must be submitted. Applications can be submitted at any time since July 1, 2018 – but no later than 12 months after the invoice date to the responsible funding agency. Compliance with binding deadlines ensures prompt processing. With this measure, the State of Tyrol promotes independent mobility and contributes to an inclusive design of public and private living spaces.
