Description

Purpose of Funding and Framework Conditions
The state of Salzburg continuously provides grants in the Salzburg region for the state-owned amateur radio station OE2XKD in the areas of disaster protection as well as labor & social affairs. The goal is the sustainable assurance of an emergency communication link in disaster situations. The sponsors of the funding program are the Salzburg Amateur Radio Association as well as comparable non-profit clubs and organizations responsible for the operation, maintenance, and expansion of the station. This ensures the functionality of the facility, supports deployment in crisis situations, and promotes replacement investments including adaptations to new technologies (e.g., PC/IT). Applications can be submitted at any time without a deadline.

Application Requirements and Eligible Expenses
A prerequisite for funding is compliance with the General Guidelines for Funding of the State of Salzburg as well as the pursuit of a public interest. Proof of own contribution, sufficient own funds, and compliance with EU state aid law are required; a usage report must be submitted after one year. Eligible costs include expenses for the operation and supervision of the amateur radio station, replacement investments, as well as expansion and adaptation measures for new technologies. The following documents must be attached to the application: proof of legal status (articles/statutes), current budget and financial statement, financing plan, declaration for inspection and data protection, as well as the completed funding application form.
