Description

The partial funding of the annual Conference of European Regions and Cities by the Institute of the Regions of Europe in Salzburg aims to intensify the exchange between political and economic representatives of European regions, municipal administrations, and businesses. Targeted grants support measures that serve the organization, execution, and professional design of the event, with the goal of reducing information deficits and promoting cross-border cooperation in the areas of commitment to social cohesion and democracy, regional development, labor & social affairs, as well as agriculture & rural development. Applicant foundations and non-profit organizations from the state of Salzburg may submit applications at any time without a fixed deadline, provided that the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Salzburg are adhered to and approval by the Governor is obtained.

Interested participants benefit from a platform where approximately 300 experts and decision-makers annually discuss current regional policy strategies and future topics. The funding covers event costs, fees for experts, as well as logistical expenses. For the application, a completed funding request and later a proper proof of use with supporting documents for accounting are required. Since commitments are made within the framework of an open-ended program, there is an ongoing possibility to submit applications. The processing is carried out by the Office of the Salzburg State Government, City of Salzburg, ensuring a transparent and legally secure funding process.
