Description
The funding for independent cultural initiatives supports the conception and development of innovative projects and concepts addressing current socio-political issues in Carinthia. Both the elaboration of thematic project drafts and related research activities are eligible for funding. The provided funds are awarded independently of existing annual grants and offer a flexible financial basis as a subsidy for cultural actors in the fields of culture and media. The possibility of continuous application submission allows initiatives to respond promptly to new challenges and developments.
Eligible to apply are independent cultural initiatives as defined by IG KIKK with a clear Carinthian reference, including natural and legal persons – from citizens and companies to associations and non-profit organizations. Basic requirements include a public call for proposals, a completed and signed application form, as well as proof of the Carinthian reference and the definition of independent cultural initiatives. Projects already included in annual programs or those for which cultural funding from the State of Carinthia has already been granted are excluded. The submission process includes the application form and the official call documents from the Department of Arts and Culture; all relevant deadlines and details are published on the State’s cultural platform.
