Description
The funding for youth protection measures in Styria is aimed at youth organizations, associations, educational institutions, public authorities, companies, start-ups, private individuals, as well as foundations, and supports projects in the fields of children and youth as well as work & social affairs. The focus is on strengthening the personal responsibility of young people, raising awareness of dangers and risks, and fostering societal consciousness for child protection. Knowledge-oriented initiatives benefit from advisory and informational services as well as financial grants, which enable the implementation of preventive and protective measures to sustainably support children and youth.
Applications can generally be submitted at any time – at the latest one day before the project start – and are reviewed in quarterly funding rounds (December 15, March 15, July 15, October 15). The funding requirements include a funding application according to the provided template, substantive alignment with the objectives of the Styrian Youth Act (StJG 2013), as well as youth protection and prevention-specific activities. Corporations must attach a De-minimis declaration; in addition, association-based youth work must submit a violence protection concept.
