Description

The "Funding for Sports Facility Construction" supports non-profit sports clubs in Lower Saxony with future-oriented construction projects and renovations. The focus is on facilities and spaces used for sporting purposes, such as sports halls, training rooms, and meeting places. Measures for structural preservation and development as well as projects within the structural and development fund for financially weak municipalities are funded. The grant rate varies between 30% and 65% of eligible expenses, with a maximum funding amount of €200,000. Applications can be submitted continuously to the responsible sports associations, enabling clubs to respond flexibly to needs and implement plans in a timely manner.

Eligible clubs are those with their own property, structural facilities, or at least twelve-year usage rights, contributing at least 10% equity. The funding guideline requires a close integration of sporting use and infrastructural development and aims at sustainable investments in movement and social interaction. By combining various funding areas, including construction and monument protection as well as infrastructure and urban development, a broad spectrum of individual project ideas is opened up. Administration and allocation are handled by the Lower Saxony State Sports Federation e.V., which, as an umbrella organization for non-profit entities, provides professional support and advisory services. Clubs thus benefit from comprehensive assistance on the path to modern, barrier-free sports facilities.
