Description
The Musicboard Berlin specifically supports support tours of emerging pop musicians who live and work in Berlin. A prerequisite is a concretely planned tour with at least three consecutive performances outside Berlin, together with a better-known headliner. With a non-repayable grant of up to EUR 3,500, all travel and tour costs are fully covered: this includes transportation, accommodation, meals, tour personnel, and technical equipment. Participants can apply for funding a maximum of once per year and must not be continuously under contract with a major label or have already received support tour funding for two consecutive years.
The application is submitted exclusively online and can be submitted continuously until November 30, 2026, but must be made at least three weeks before the start of the tour. Required documents are the completed application form, a brief description of the tour project with justification, confirmation from the headliner act, an artistic CV, a detailed cost breakdown, and proof of residence and artistic activity in Berlin (registration certificate or ID card, alternatively a passport copy with residence permit for non-EU nationals). After a positive decision by an independent jury, the grant will be transferred for the specified purpose. This support offers young artists the opportunity to expand their live experience, increase their reach, and grow their fan base beyond Berlin.
