Funding "Non-Profit Institutions" (Possehl Foundation)

The Possehl Foundation supports registered non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations based in Lübeck through the funding line "Non-Profit Institutions". In particular, projects in the areas of social affairs, migration, sports and youth work, education, as well as commitment to social cohesion and democracy may receive grants. The aim is to strengthen coexistence in the Hanseatic city and to promote participation and inclusion. The funding builds on volunteer-driven initiatives and honors the commitment of association members and initiators who sustainably enrich the cultural, sporting, and social life in Lübeck.

One-time and ongoing projects are funded with a grant amount of up to €10,000. Applications must be submitted via the funding portal three weeks before the respective meeting date of the working committee. A prerequisite is proof of non-profit status as well as registration as an association or organization based in Lübeck. The Possehl Foundation reviews all applications within the framework of its funding criteria and makes decisions promptly with the aim of strengthening democratic coexistence and intergenerational meeting spaces locally.
