Description
The funding of special education kindergarten groups by the City of Vienna offers a monthly subsidy of €797.41 per child from 01.01.2023 to 31.08.2026 for the early education and inclusion of children with special needs until the start of compulsory schooling. Up to 82 children in officially approved special education kindergarten groups are supported, whereby the contribution of early childhood education helps to support individual developmental processes and reduce barriers. The goal is to strengthen participation in the education system and create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of educators and families.
Eligible for funding are legal entities with headquarters or branches in Vienna, such as (non-profit) associations or companies that agree on a funding guideline together with the City of Vienna. Application documents include, among others, a project description, a financing plan, proof of input tax deduction entitlement, as well as association statutes or articles of association and an extract from the company or association register. Eligible costs include personnel costs, material costs, and up to 30% overhead costs; representation costs, gifts for guests, tips, and voucher purchases are excluded. Evaluation is based on public interest, the content-related or institutional connection to the City of Vienna, and demonstrated financial need. Applications can be submitted at any time during the ongoing project period by email. This measure strengthens the social and educational sector in Vienna and relies on sustainable support for special education services.
