Description

The funding program in the field of adult education supports the development and implementation of innovative projects and measures in Styria. Non-profit educational providers, public institutions, as well as all non-profit organizations based in Styria may submit applications continuously prior to the project start. The goal is to secure a comprehensive, high-quality, and as widespread as possible continuing education offer that addresses regional needs and also targets adults with limited access to education and low qualifications. By aligning with the strategic guidelines of the Department of Education and Society, demand-oriented formats are promoted that contribute to strengthening awareness of continuing education and increasing willingness to participate.

Funding is provided in the form of non-repayable grants and exclusively covers project costs. Eligible expenses include project-related costs, while in-house vocational, further, and school-based training, offers with missionary, political, or religious orientation, as well as discriminatory events are excluded. Applicants must demonstrate at least one regular, planned educational offer, meet current pedagogical-methodological standards, and ensure barrier-free access. Submission is made using the provided application form at least one day before the project start; funding rounds take place quarterly. For approval, in addition to the funding application, a de minimis declaration (if applicable), a project description, a total cost breakdown, as well as an activity report and proof of use must be submitted. With this funding initiative, Styria fulfills its commitment to establish lifelong learning as a binding element of social participation.
