Description
Program Objective and Funding Priorities
The earmarked, non-repayable grant under the funding guideline for Integrative Measures in Saxony supports projects that make migration an opportunity for social cohesion. Funded initiatives include the intercultural opening of organizations, the active participation of people with a migration background, and the strengthening of democratic migrant self-organizations. Additionally, measures to improve language skills and initial orientation competencies of refugees and asylum seekers serve sustainable integration. Financing covers up to 95% of eligible personnel expenses, material costs, travel expenses, as well as costs for placement and final assessments, and extends over a maximum project duration of twelve months.
Eligibility and Application Procedure
Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations, associations and federations, municipal authorities, adult education centers, providers of independent welfare services, language course providers, as well as scientific institutions in cooperation with public-benefit-oriented partners. Key quality criteria include the intercultural and linguistic competencies of the project team, verifiable references from comparable projects, and close involvement of regional cooperation partners. A 5% co-financing share must be documented through own or third-party funds. Required documents include a detailed project description, a financing plan, a statement from the local district or independent city, a declaration regarding the payment of taxes and social contributions, and a specimen signature. Application deadlines vary depending on the project category between July 31 and October 31, with continuous submission possible for small and special projects.
