Description

With the promotion of international youth work in Burgenland, the state of Burgenland provides direct financial support to associations and non-profit organizations in the form of a grant. The aim is to strengthen cross-border youth encounters in the thematic areas of children and youth, education, work & social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education. The funding covers both preparatory and initiation costs as well as expenses for the implementation of projects and specifically closes financing gaps that exist in EU programs. This gives regional initiatives a tailored opportunity to independently plan and implement intercultural exchange formats and to sustainably support young people in their development. Furthermore, the funding enables the financing of the state youth office’s own projects.

The call for applications is ongoing and has been permanently open since January 1, 2014. A prerequisite for approval is the submission of a complete funding application to the Burgenland State Youth Office. Expenses for program development, travel costs, accommodation, as well as substantive project phases are eligible for funding. Associations and non-profit organizations from Burgenland can submit applications year-round and receive timely feedback on the funding approval. The Office of the Burgenland State Government professionally supports the process and ensures a swift, service-oriented handling of all application procedures. Through the flexible structure of the funding, the Burgenland State Youth Office makes an important contribution to intensifying European youth work and networking local actors at the international level.
