Promotion of Young Global Citizens

The Young Global Citizens Foundation offers a wide range of funding opportunities nationwide for young people in need in the areas of education, vocational training, and culture. Targeted support is provided to students and trainees who aim to build bridges between cultures through international-mindedness and intercultural engagement. With the help of a non-repayable grant, costs for tutoring, study materials, or cultural projects can be covered, among other things. Projects that actively promote tolerance and international understanding and strengthen democratic coexistence are particularly supported.

Interested applicants may submit an email application at any time, with proof of need forming the basis for a decision. A meaningful letter of motivation supplemented by a CV as well as either a letter of recommendation or a detailed project concept with a cost calculation are absolutely required. Selection is based on the personal situation and the societal added value of the submitted idea. Continuously accepted applications enable flexible planning and implementation of educational and cultural measures. The foundation recommends compiling all documents early to expedite processing and promptly provide committed global citizens with financial start-up assistance.
