Support for Young Scientists and Artists – Maximilian Glässel Foundation

The Maximilian Glässel Foundation has been committed since 2016 in Upper Bavaria to the targeted support of young scientists and artists. As a non-profit funding institution, the resources were provided through the will of Martin Glässel and recognized by the government of Upper Bavaria. The sponsorship is exclusively aimed at individuals born in Upper Bavaria who have already demonstrated outstanding achievements in the fields of science, research & innovation as well as culture & media. Continuous application submissions allow for flexible entries, enabling exceptional talents to be considered throughout the year.

The selection is based on clearly defined criteria: in addition to confirmation of birthplace in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria, excellent academic or artistic credentials are particularly emphasized. Furthermore, the foundation cooperates with renowned universities such as TU Munich within the framework of the “Deutschland-Stipendium” to strengthen networking within the scientific and cultural landscape. Through this structural support, emerging talents are encouraged to further develop their projects and set sustainable impulses for research and culture in Bavaria.
