Description
The Promotion of Children’s and Youth Sports in the State of Lower Austria supports non-profit umbrella sports associations in measures and projects with at least supra-regional impact. The goal is to motivate children (0–13 years) and adolescents (14–18 years) to engage in active sports and to achieve sustainable integration into sports clubs. Eligible for funding are recognized state umbrella associations that are members of a BSO-recognized federal sports umbrella association. The measure funding (max. €180,000 p.a.) as well as the project funding (50–75% of the recognized eligible costs, maximum funding amount per project: €50,000) are intended to make a significant contribution to improving quality in children’s and youth sports. A prerequisite is the deployment of qualified trainers as well as the regular further training of these professionals in cycles of three to five years.
Eligible costs include in particular personnel costs for trainers and sports coordinators, training expenses, travel, meals and accommodation costs, depreciation-relevant acquisitions, project-specific rents, advertising/public relations, and external evaluation costs. Bank and dunning fees, internal printing and copying costs, as well as costs already covered by basic funding, are not eligible. Applications for measure funding must be submitted annually by June 30 to the Finance Department F1; project applications can be submitted year-round, in due time before the project start. The official application form as well as electronically submitted attachments including trainer deployment lists, project description, and detailed project budget serve as the basis for a successful application.
