Description

The "Rural Vocational Training Support" in Brandenburg assists educational providers and companies in conducting vocational training and excursions in the agricultural and forestry sectors. The aim is to strengthen sustainable development, environmental and climate protection, as well as animal welfare. Funded measures deepen knowledge of site- and climate-adapted land management, innovative cultivation and animal husbandry methods, digitalization, and resource-conserving use. At the same time, the program contributes to meeting the demand for skilled workers in agriculture and forestry and promotes the competitiveness, innovative strength, and biodiversity of rural enterprises. Educational projects must comprise at least four teaching units (45 minutes each), informational events at least eight, and excursions must last between one and a maximum of five days. A minimum number of six participants (educational projects/excursions) or 15 participants (informational events) is required, with all participants originating from Brandenburg or Berlin.

Funding is provided in the form of a grant: a flat rate of €119 per teaching unit is approved for educational projects, and €2,280 per event for informational events; excursions are supported with up to 85% of eligible expenses. Eligible applicants are providers with proven competence—such as recognition under the Continuing Education Act, QS certification, or references—who demonstrate the professional quality and relevance of their concepts in the digital application process. €1 million is available per application deadline. The next deadline for online submission via the Internet Application Portal (IAP) is February 15, 2026. The application requires, among other things, a project description, a participant list, and proof of the instructors’ qualifications.
