Description
Support for Trainers in Viennese Companies
The Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff) supports small and medium-sized enterprises based in Vienna in the qualification of trainers. The aim of this initiative is to motivate companies to train apprentices and thus contribute to the development of skilled workers in the region. During the action period from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2025, grants are provided for course fees and examination costs. The funding covers up to 75% of the trainer course costs (max. €500 per person) as well as up to 100% of the examination fees (max. €100 per person). This reduces financial barriers and provides companies with a strong incentive to invest in competent supervision of their apprentices.
Eligibility and Application Procedure
Eligible to apply are companies with a business location in Vienna employing a maximum of 50 employees. For companies with more than 50 employees, the limitation does not apply if apprentices are being trained for the first time or additional apprenticeship occupations are offered. Both salaried full-time employees as well as managing directors and business owners are eligible for funding. To apply, the following documents must be submitted within three months after the end of the course or examination: completed application form, declaration of commitment including De minimis declaration, and course documents (invoice, proof of payment, and certificate of attendance or diploma). After positive review, the funding is paid retroactively. The transparent processing is carried out based on the EU De minimis Regulation, allowing companies to claim the maximum permissible funding amounts.
