Description
The focus of this funding line is on studies, concepts, campaigns, and measures that promote sustainable mobility in the federal state of Salzburg. The emphasis is on cycling and pedestrian traffic as well as projects aimed at shifting freight transport to rail. Cross-modal solutions are linked with topics such as smart cities & regions, climate protection, and energy efficiency. The funding also encompasses consulting & business financing, infrastructure development, digitalization, as well as research & innovation, connecting actors from various disciplines. Thus, both structural improvements and awareness campaigns and technical pilot projects are supported, actively contributing to emission reduction and supporting the transport transition.
The non-repayable grants are intended for municipalities, companies, private individuals, interest groups, and non-profit organizations that wish to implement or develop concepts and measures for environmentally conscious traffic management. Applications have been possible continuously and without deadline since 24.09.2013, providing a high level of planning security. A prerequisite for funding success is a complete application with a project description that meets the general funding guidelines of the state of Salzburg and, if applicable, the special guideline for municipal traffic concepts, and receives a positive evaluation by transport experts. For state cycling routes, detailed planning documents such as site plans, longitudinal and cross profiles, quantity surveys, and cost estimates must be submitted. Eligible for funding are studies, campaigns, structural measures, research projects, as well as initiatives for active mobility and the shift of freight transport.
