Description

From September 1, 2018, projects for sustainable development in Tyrol are supported by the State of Tyrol with budget funds as direct grants. Eligible applicants include natural and legal persons – including private individuals, companies, cooperatives, foundations, interest groups, non-profit and public institutions, start-ups, as well as educational institutions. Applications can be submitted continuously until the funding volume is exhausted and must include a meaningful project description as well as a detailed cost and financing plan. For events, certification according to "Green Event Tyrol Basic" is required; in justified exceptional cases, this may be waived after consultation.

The focus of the funding is on strengthening innovation and effectiveness in ecological, economic, and social terms. Evaluation criteria include the comprehensibility and transparency of the planning, an appropriate cost-benefit ratio, as well as concrete, verifiable benefits. Implementation must be economical, efficient, and purposeful and have a clear connection to the goals of sustainable development. Funded project holders commit to prominently displaying the note "Funded by" along with the official state logo on all print and online materials. This initiative actively promotes forward-looking approaches in Tyrol and strengthens the networking of sustainability actors.
