Funding objective
The funding aims to raise the manufacturing technology level at the Vienna location, establish energy-efficient and competitive machinery, implement innovative and as climate-neutral as possible manufacturing projects, as well as secure employment levels in the companies and counteract tendencies of relocation among key production enterprises.

Description
The production funding from the Vienna Business Agency is aimed at commercial and industrial manufacturing companies as well as production-related service providers with a business location in Vienna. A non-repayable grant of up to €200,000 per project supports energy-efficient investments in machinery, equipment, structural measures, licenses, material and supply costs, as well as personnel costs and external services. The program aims to raise the manufacturing technology level at the location, implement innovative or climate-neutral manufacturing and upscaling projects, and consolidate sustainable employment structures. The focus is on the introduction of new technologies as well as training measures for employees to strengthen competitiveness and counteract tendencies of relocation among key production companies.
Eligible projects must have a minimum assessment basis of €30,000 and a maximum project duration of 24 months, starting after the application is submitted. The funding rate is 50%, whereby at least half of the recognized costs must be capitalizable. An advance payment of up to 50% of the approved funding amount is possible. Bonus amounts for startup projects (€5,000) and projects under qualified female leadership (€10,000) complement the offer. Evaluation is conducted on a competitive basis by an independent jury, based on the degree of innovation, energy efficiency, job security, and societal benefit. Applications can be submitted continuously until 31 December 2026; submission deadlines are available on the Vienna Business Agency website. For a complete application, an application confirmation, De-minimis declaration, and the latest annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement are required.
