Description
School cultural activities in Upper Austria are supported with a one-time grant of up to 3,000 euros to pedagogically prepare and conduct museum visits, participation in theater trips such as the “Schäxpir trips,” or diverse artistic projects within the class group. Eligible to apply are schools in Upper Austria as well as school care facilities (after-school care centers) from primary school level onwards. Funds can be applied for continuously but must be approved before the project begins. The aim is to facilitate access to cultural offerings for children and young people and to establish sustainable mediation formats in school life.
A prerequisite for funding is compliance with the Upper Austrian cultural mission statement and the funding principles of the state, as well as implementation by professional artists or mediators with relevant qualifications. Per school year, events for a maximum of 15% of the classes can be funded. Eligible costs include, among others, bus costs for round trips, fees (including travel expenses), material and equipment rentals, admission and travel costs, as well as digital project formats. Ineligible costs include investments in technical infrastructure, regular teaching projects, catering and accommodation costs, as well as educator fees. Special consideration is given to participatory concepts, longer project durations, and projects on antisemitism prevention and commemorative culture. To apply, a fully completed and personally signed funding form (KGD-K/E-5), a detailed project description, artistic CVs, a cost plan with proof of financing, and information on the number of classes and educational objectives must be submitted.
