Description

The USB Foundation supports comprehensive social and humanitarian initiatives nationwide that have a lasting impact and sustainably stabilize people in precarious life situations. The focus is on projects aimed at (re)integration into society and professional life, support during training, housing search, and medical care. In addition, the foundation supports measures to promote democracy and strengthen social cohesion. Priority is given to larger projects implemented in cooperation with experienced partners, such as the acquisition of medical equipment for children's hospitals, socio-educational support centers for homeless young women, or qualification programs for refugees and people with disabilities.

As a non-profit institution, the funding program is open to organizations of all legal forms – from registered associations and foundations to public sponsors, companies, and interest groups. Projects in the areas of social affairs, migration, health, engagement for democracy, as well as work & social affairs can be applied for at any time. The USB Foundation grants subsidies that achieve long-term effects and specifically support vulnerable target groups such as homeless people, the long-term unemployed, or people with disabilities. Applications are accepted continuously and approved after substantive review, enabling sustainable projects to be implemented flexibly and promptly.
