Funding for Sports Infrastructure - Sports Equipment

The state of Lower Austria supports clubs and non-profit organizations in the acquisition of cost-intensive sports equipment for organized training and competition operations. Within the framework of this grant program, acquisition costs are partially covered to strengthen long-term usable infrastructure at the regional level. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing interested parties to apply for support unrestrictedly throughout the entire year. With a focus on sustainability and broad accessibility, the funding is explicitly aimed at equipment that can be used by many sports enthusiasts over extended periods.

Eligible for funding are all interest groups, sports clubs, and other non-profit organizations based in Lower Austria that provide evidence of the permanent and diverse use of the acquired equipment. A prerequisite is that the selected sports equipment is indispensable for training and competition operations and offers added value for a wide number of participants. The allocation of funds is based on the Lower Austrian Sports Act and relevant funding guidelines; covered expenses exclusively include the acquisition of the equipment itself. This program makes an important contribution to the further development of regional sports infrastructure and promotes the active participation in both grassroots and competitive sports in Lower Austria.
