Funding/Support by the Geest-FUS Foundation

The Geest-FUS Foundation supports people in need in the Amt Arensharde as well as the neighboring Ämter Eggebek, Haddeby, Kropp-Stapelholm, Nordsee-Treene, Oeversee, Südangeln, and Viöl. As a non-profit foundation, it supplements state social benefits when these are insufficient. Funding is provided to needy children, adolescents, and adults, including citizens with a migration background, people with disabilities, and elderly residents. The focus is on quick and unbureaucratic assistance that has a direct local impact and sustainably improves life situations.

Funding is granted in the form of cash benefits, assumption of liabilities, or in-kind benefits. An informal written application with proof of residence in the foundation’s area, exclusion of all possible social welfare benefits, and current income statements forms the basis. Individual support is decided by the foundation board within the framework of a case-by-case review according to internal guidelines. Since applications can be submitted at any time, the funding remains flexible and responds to acute needs in the areas of social affairs, education, health, migration, and further training. In this way, the Geest-FUS Foundation helps to stabilize specific life situations and enable participation in social life.
