Description
The LEG NRW Tenant Foundation supports needy tenants of the LEG Group in North Rhine-Westphalia with one-time grants of up to €1,000 per year, as well as in-kind contributions and personal assistance services such as care and support. Additionally, integrative and intercultural measures in residential neighborhoods are supported: events, projects promoting international understanding, neighborhood and community work, or open space designs can be funded with up to €10,000 per measure. Both private individuals and non-profit initiatives, self-help and charitable organizations that promote sustainable offerings to strengthen cohesion, cultural tolerance, and integration in their neighborhoods are eligible for funding.
Applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed based on the urgency of the hardship and the verifiability of the documents. A valid, non-terminated rental agreement with an LEG company in NRW, a fully completed application including proof of income (e.g., social assistance notice, disability ID), and a project description with a cost plan for event funding are required. The maximum funding period is 12 months; repeat applications are possible. To ensure proper use of funds, proof of use must be submitted after approval; for projects, public acknowledgment of the support is also requested. The foundation provides continuous support throughout implementation, thereby contributing to social participation and intercultural exchange on site.
