Description

The funding of labor market policy projects in Vienna supports companies, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, public institutions, interest groups, as well as other associations in the implementation of consultation, qualification, and employment measures. The program aims to promote the strengthening of social inclusion as well as the combating of poverty and discrimination. Projects that facilitate access to the labor market for disadvantaged groups, expand existing skills, and create long-term employment prospects are funded. Through the combination of tailored consulting, diverse further training opportunities, and integrative employment models, a comprehensive offering is created that makes an important contribution to active labor market policy at the regional level.

Interested organizations can submit applications throughout the year; there is no deadline. Since January 1, 2014, this possibility has been permanent, allowing project sponsors to respond flexibly to needs. Funding is provided in the form of a non-repayable grant, aligned with the actual project costs. A prerequisite for approval is a recognizable public interest as well as a demonstrated contribution to active labor market policy in Vienna. Applicants must demonstrate relevant project experience in the field of labor market policy and – for ESF co-financed measures – meet the criteria of the valid Operational Program. The application requires a letter of application, a substantive concept, a financial plan, and a current extract from the association register or commercial register. The funding bodies involved are the Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff) and the European Social Fund (ESF). The ongoing reporting obligation includes the submission of substantive and financial evidence as well as possible on-site inspections to ensure transparent processing.
