Description
Companies from all federal states of Austria can apply for a subsidy for the wage and ancillary wage costs of their seasonal workers employed during training periods within the framework of the promotion of construction trade schools. The aim is to professionally enhance employees during non-working phases without interrupting the fully insured employment relationship. Up to 66.67% of the recognized gross wages plus a flat rate for ancillary wage costs, based on the applicable collective agreement regulations for construction trade school students, are subsidized. The support can be claimed per school year for a period of up to 14 weeks. Applications can be submitted continuously as long as the budget is available and can be filed immediately until the funding volume is exhausted.
A prerequisite for the grant is the company’s affiliation with one of the following organizations: Federal Guild of the Construction Trades, Federal Guild of Master Carpenters, Federal Guild of Master Stonemasons, or the Professional Association of the Construction Industry. Furthermore, all participants must remain fully insured employees throughout the entire training period. Eligible expenses include verifiably incurred wage and salary costs as well as ancillary wage costs. Companies of all sizes can benefit from this subsidy. To apply, the “Request for Promotion of Attendance at Construction Trade Schools,” the associated personal data sheet, and a written individual agreement between employer and employee must be submitted. Following a positive review, payment is made retrospectively. The funding measure supports companies in optimally training skilled craftsmen while simultaneously maintaining stable employment relationships.
