Funding requirements
- There must be an objectively determined regional need for the respective services.
- The independent provider must have suitable facilities and the necessary material and personnel resources to deliver the services.
- The independent provider must be able to economically ensure service delivery throughout the entire term.
- The independent provider must agree to the auditing of its financial management by the state government, authorized third parties, or the Salzburg State Audit Office.

Description
The promotion of counseling and care services for persons in need of care in the Salzburg region aims to sustainably expand low-threshold support services for care-dependent individuals and their relatives. As a one-time grant, the program is directed at non-profit organizations, companies, interest groups, as well as other associations that possess the necessary infrastructure and personnel capacities. Applications can be submitted continuously, as the measure has been in effect without a time limit since 01.07.2013. Funding is provided on the one hand for counseling services on care-related topics, which inform those seeking advice about benefits, legal aspects, and forms of care, and on the other hand for on-site care services that support care-dependent persons in everyday situations. This initiative strengthens the quality of life of the target group and contributes to relieving the burden on family members.
A prerequisite for funding is an objectively determined regional need as well as the economic assurance of service provision throughout the entire funding period. The independent providers must demonstrate suitable facilities, appropriate equipment, and qualified personnel and agree to financial audits by the state government or the Salzburg State Audit Office. For the application, among other documents, a detailed funding request, the latest annual financial statement including balance sheet and profit and loss account, a current budget estimate, and in the case of new applications from associations, statutory documents are required. Additionally, project descriptions, cost estimates, and a planned cost calculation must be submitted.
