Support for Educational Projects and Early-Career Researchers (KSB Foundation)

The KSB Foundation supports educational projects and young researchers throughout Germany with a clear focus on sustainable education and training as well as research and innovation. Annually, 30 Germany Scholarships are awarded, each recipient receiving €3,600 per year. In parallel, interdisciplinary initiatives at universities as well as STEM projects at general education schools and vocational schools can receive funding. Eligible for support are educational institutions that accompany students, doctoral candidates, postdocs, or junior professorships in strengthening their disciplinary and interdisciplinary competencies. The integrative grants provide the opportunity to bring together students from different disciplines, to test innovative learning formats, and to inspire early enthusiasm for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology.

Project submissions are possible on an ongoing basis, allowing for flexible planning and smooth implementation within a twelve-month funding period. With a grant volume of €3,600 per scholarship per year, the foundation helps to relieve academic talents and accelerate their development. At the same time, it supports partnerships with school authorities and civil society organizations to secure the STEM talent pipeline in the long term. The KSB Foundation values unbureaucratic procedures and enables follow-up applications subject to available financial resources. This creates a sustainable network of funders and project managers that effectively strengthens the next generation of professionals in science and technology.
