Funding objective

The goal is the establishment and further development of sustainable value chain partnerships for organically produced products, as well as the strengthening of the professional, methodological, and social competencies of market participants along the entire value chain within the framework of the Federal Organic Farming Program.

Description

The funding supports companies, interest groups, associations, and foundations along ecological organic farming value chains in Germany in establishing and further developing long-term viable partnerships. It is part of the Federal Organic Farming Program (BÖL), aiming to increase the share of organically farmed land to 30% by 2030. With a grant of up to 80% of eligible expenses and a regular duration of 36 months, personnel resources are provided for targeted management, and the professional, methodological, and social competencies of market actors are strengthened. Regional networking, structured coordination, and knowledge transfer from production through processing to out-of-home catering contribute to strengthening urban-rural relations and resilient food systems. Applications must be submitted electronically via easy-Online by December 1, 2030.

Funded are tailored initial and implementation events with up to €20,000 per event, as well as the establishment of a coordination office covering personnel expenses, office supplies, business travel, and accompanying measures up to a maximum of €210,000. Additionally, contracts for consulting, qualification, and accompanying scientific studies are eligible for funding. A one-time extension of the approval period by an additional year is possible. Personnel expenses for core staff, investments, replacement acquisitions, general office equipment, or travel costs of participants cannot be claimed. Requirements include a registered office in Germany, proven experience with comparable projects, and a cooperation agreement with at least two companies. Evaluation criteria include viability, regional relevance, sustainability aspects, and cooperative understanding. The application must include, among other documents, the cooperation agreement, the De-minimis declaration, evidence of subsidy-relevant facts, and creditworthiness documents.
