Funding of Individual Projects – "Money and Currency" Foundation

The "Money and Currency" Foundation offers nationwide funding for individual projects in the fields of science, research, and innovation. Eligible applicants include educational institutions, private individuals, and non-profit organizations wishing to implement independent initiatives on money and currency topics, but not within the framework of the IMFS Competence Center or the Foundation’s graduate programs. The funds are granted exclusively as non-repayable grants and, due to limited resources, are primarily intended for partial financing. A continuous submission option allows interested parties to submit applications informally to the Foundation’s administration at any time. The funding is particularly aimed at scientists, researchers, and experts working on innovative questions and thus contributing to the public debate on the importance of stable money.

This program aims to support individual research and innovation projects that take place outside existing structures and primarily address money and currency issues. The funding is intended to provide impulses for new approaches and practical analyses without replacing the established funding lines within the IMFS or the graduate programs. As the available funds are limited, a careful selection process is conducted, with full financing rarely achieved. The uncomplicated application process without formal requirements lowers the entry barrier and allows for flexible project designs. This approach enables a diverse range of individual projects that contribute to strengthening scientific discourse and promoting forward-looking research in Germany.
