Description
In the state of Tyrol, a publicly announced grant supports private, non-profit, politically and denominationally independent parent-child centers with the aim of promoting parental competence and improving the compatibility of work and family life. The measure targets providers such as associations, cooperatives, and public institutions that offer low-threshold opportunities for parental exchange of experiences, health and educational programs, as well as regular parent-child groups. Required minimum standards include at least 20 opening hours per week for a minimum of 36 weeks per year, weekly meeting points, two childbirth and two educational courses per year with five sessions each, as well as qualified staff with ongoing training. Furthermore, child-friendly, publicly accessible premises with cooking facilities and sanitary installations, as well as adult-appropriate furnishings, are prerequisites for approval.
Funding applications can be submitted electronically within the period from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2027 prior to the start of the planned funding period. Submission requires, among other things, a detailed concept of the facility, a cost and financing plan for the funding project and the entire year, a list of already applied for or granted funding, and, for first-time applicants, an extract from the commercial register or association register. Additionally, a written confirmation from the provider is necessary stating that all spatial and professional requirements are met. Through this targeted support, the social accompaniment of parents – especially single parents – is sustainably strengthened and the family-friendly infrastructure in Tyrol is further expanded.
