Description
The state of Vorarlberg supports companies, interest groups, denominational institutions, as well as non-profit associations and organizations in the conception and implementation of energy policy projects and events. The goal is the realization of the Energy Autonomy+ 2030 Strategy, which aims for a long-term and independent energy supply based on renewable energies and high energy efficiency in Vorarlberg. Ongoing direct grants are available for projects in the key areas of energy efficiency, renewable energies, and climate protection. Interested applicants can submit funding applications continuously from 01.01.2024 onwards, with the amount of support varying according to the budgets allocated in the state budget. The program is characterized by broad openness to innovative ideas and projects of varying sizes.
A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a formal application before the start of project implementation, in which the objectives of the Energy Autonomy+ 2030 Strategy are clearly and comprehensibly presented. Eligible are particularly initiatives that make a measurable contribution to reducing energy consumption and strengthening renewable energy communities through technical innovations, educational offerings, information campaigns, or network building. Selection is conducted transparently according to the established funding criteria and the available state budget funds. Thanks to the unlimited deadline structure, projects can be planned and implemented flexibly. In this way, the measure supports forward-looking actors in realizing sustainable energy and climate protection measures and significantly contributes to the regional energy transition.
