Description
The nationwide grant offer in the Social sector supports public institutions and non-profit private organizations in their work by providing personnel cost subsidies for qualified professional staff. The funding establishes a comprehensive network of family counseling centers that offer free, anonymous, and confidential assistance to those seeking advice on family planning, economic security, and psychosocial stability. The focus is on relieving social workers, marriage and family counselors, as well as licensed physicians, to ensure sustainable, low-threshold care and to defuse intrafamilial conflicts and emergencies at an early stage.
Eligible applicants include other public law entities as well as non-profit private organizations with the statutory task of “Counseling according to the FBFG”, which are not profit-oriented. A prerequisite for approval is a regular counseling service offered on at least two days per month with a minimum duration of eight hours, provided free of charge, anonymously, and confidentially. Furthermore, the Federal Disability Equality Act and the prohibition of discrimination according to BEinstG must be observed. The funding period covers twelve months and exclusively covers personnel costs. Applicants must submit a completed application form with a financing plan, association statutes or articles of association, proof of qualifications of the counselors, as well as an accessibility expertise by the deadline of December 31 of the previous year; follow-up funding applications may be submitted until September 30, and for first-time applications, review procedures may be initiated until March 30.
