Support for Women’s and Girls’ Organizations

The funding program “Support for Women’s and Girls’ Organizations” is aimed at non-profit organizations in Rhineland-Palatinate that have set themselves the goal of sustainably improving the social, societal, and legal situation of women and girls. The funding is provided in the form of a grant and supports projects, measures, and events that make a significant contribution to equality. This includes, among other things, short-term initiatives such as workshops, seminars, conferences, or informational events, which particularly possess an innovative and exemplary character and emphasize regional relevance. The program exclusively funds legally registered women’s and girls’ associations and federations headquartered in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Within the framework of the funding, a grant amount of up to 1,300 euros is provided, whereby the financial support is used in addition to already secured own funds or third-party funds. To successfully submit an application, it is necessary to include a detailed financing plan as well as a precise project description and secured proof of financing. Applications for ongoing funding must be submitted to the responsible approval authority no later than 12 weeks before the start of the planned measure. It is ensured that the planned initiatives have not yet begun, in order to guarantee the appropriate and compliant use of the provided funds.

The program focuses on the targeted support of measures that provide not only regional but also supra-regional impulses to strengthen the living conditions of women and girls. In addition to the financial grant, special emphasis is placed on the implementation of activities that serve public relations and demonstrate exemplary approaches in promoting equality. The use of gender-neutral and inclusive language ensures an unbiased address. By supporting innovative concepts, this program offers women’s and girls’ organizations the opportunity to implement their projects within a supportive financial and structural framework and thus positively influence societal development in Rhineland-Palatinate in the long term.
