Funding of Non-Profit Projects (our better world Foundation)

The our better world Foundation continuously supports non-profit initiatives throughout Germany that align with the foundation’s purposes in environmental and nature conservation, education, culture, sports, health, social affairs, and development cooperation. Eligible to apply are tax-privileged entities such as associations, foundations, aid organizations, or educational institutions that implement projects in the funding areas of environmental/nature conservation, climate protection, energy efficiency, vocational training and continuing education, culture & media, agriculture & rural development, animal welfare, as well as in the fields of public health care and social engagement. The aim is to sustainably strengthen initiatives, generate societal impact, and ensure transparency in the use of funds. The foundation places particular emphasis on effective concepts that contribute to improving quality of life in the long term and conserve existing resources.

For the application, submission of a completed project profile is required, followed by a creative presentation of the project idea to the foundation board. A prerequisite is proof of tax-privileged status according to the tax code as well as the clear alignment of the project with the foundation’s purpose. Evaluation criteria include especially the conformity with the statutory objectives, the sustainability of the planned activities, societal impact, and transparency in the use of funds. Funding applications can be submitted at any time; the committee decides independently of fixed cycles on the allocation, with the aim of providing project teams—from experienced project managers to dedicated individual actors—the necessary financial basis to realize their visions.
