Description

The program promotes socio-political and social policy initiatives in Styria and supports individuals, interest groups, associations, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions with non-repayable grants. The focus areas are social issues, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, as well as work & social affairs. Key funding criteria are the macroeconomic benefit and the regional relevance of the measures. Thanks to a permanent submission option, initiators benefit from high planning security. Additionally, every two years an independent jury honors outstanding projects with the Human Rights Award of the state, thereby sending a clear signal for forward-looking social engagement.

Eligible applicants submit a fully completed application with meaningful documentation for verification. The evaluation is based on the merit of the project, its macroeconomic benefit, and its relevance to Styria. A proof of use in the form of original receipts and – depending on the scope of the project – a project report must be submitted within the deadline specified in the funding contract. The continuous allocation of funds enables flexible responses to current social challenges and jointly contributes to sustainable social cohesion in Styria.
