Description
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research supports interdisciplinary research consortia nationwide at university hospitals and other partners from science and industry to deepen the understanding of the origin, manifestation, and treatment of menopausal symptoms. Funded are cooperative projects that identify new predictive biomarkers and develop innovative classification methods for menopausal stages. The goal is to generate evidence-based approaches for prevention, diagnosis, and therapy and to sustainably improve the care of affected women. Project outlines can be submitted electronically via easy-Online or in paper form by April 15, 2026, 12:00 CET. Submitting institutions must be interdisciplinary and cover all required disciplines. A project outline, the full project application via easy-Online, as well as the TAN procedure or a qualified electronic signature are required.
The guideline applies in conjunction with the Health Research Framework Program and is overseen by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology, and Space. The objective of the measure is to obtain high-quality scientific findings on the varying manifestations of menopausal symptoms and to reduce health risks during this life phase.
