Promotion of Art and Culture (Hoepfner Foundation)

The Hoepfner Foundation has been supporting impactful projects in the arts and cultural scene of the Karlsruhe Technology Region for years. In particular, initiatives that focus on photography as an artistic medium or contemporary music are promoted. To a limited extent, design works and offers for education and training can also be subsidized. Both private individuals and non-profit organizations, associations, interest groups, and companies from Baden-Württemberg are eligible to submit funding applications. A continuous submission process enables professionally active cultural practitioners and project sponsors to present their projects at any time. Funding is granted as a subsidy, with no more than one quarter of the annual budget allocated to a single project, and the overall funding balanced through diversification.

For a successful application, projects must demonstrably be of a high professional standard and have a clear regional connection to the Karlsruhe Technology Region or a convincing supra-regional impact. Assessment criteria, in addition to belonging to the funding areas of photography as art or contemporary music, include proof of professional expertise as well as the budget structure of the annual plan. The goal is to promote innovative, effective measures that enrich the cultural offering and set sustainable impulses. Through the open, ongoing call for proposals, the Hoepfner Foundation offers diverse opportunities to introduce and realize creative concepts.
