Description
In Burgenland, there is a continuously open grant opportunity for private owners and tenants whose living or sleeping rooms (or kitchen-living rooms) along state roads are exposed to excessive noise pollution. The basis is the exceedance of one of the immission limit values (day ≥ 60 dB / night ≥ 50 dB) at the time of application. Funding is provided for the installation of noise protection windows, exterior doors, and soundproof ventilators in existing residential buildings whose occupancy permit is older than ten years. New buildings, extensions, additional floors, second homes, as well as commercial and public facilities are excluded. Tenants must additionally submit owner approval for window replacement. For verification, a municipal confirmation of main residence and occupancy permit, a test certificate of the sound insulation value or air throughput, and a detailed offer are required.
Eligible expenses include materials and installation of the elements; installation costs for the power supply of motorized ventilators are excluded. Funding rates are up to €217/m² for windows and doors, €420 each for motorized, and €210 each for non-motorized soundproof ventilators. After installation, the original invoice with breakdown (glass composition, sound insulation value, installation costs, VAT), proof of payment, and test certificate must be submitted. Initial applications can be made at any time; renewed funding for the same property is possible no earlier than after 20 years. This measure aims to improve living quality and sustainably reduce health burdens through passive noise protection technology.
