Description

The Vienna Employees' Promotion Fund (waff) supports companies with a business location in Vienna in qualifying employees as vocational trainers, thereby actively contributing to strengthening the vocational training of young people. During the funding period from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2026, the costs for trainer courses as well as the fees for the trainer examination are subsidized. Small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 50 employees benefit automatically, while companies with 50 or more employees are also eligible to apply if they are training apprentices for the first time or expanding to include a new apprenticeship occupation. The aim of the initiative is to create incentives to train more skilled workers and secure them long-term for Vienna as a business location.

Companies receive a grant covering 75% of the course costs up to a maximum of €500 per trainer, as well as examination fees up to €100 per trainer. A prerequisite for funding is an unrestricted social insurance obligation employment relationship of the course or examination participants in the funding company and the timely submission of all documents within three months after the course completion or examination date. Required documents include the completed application form, a declaration of commitment including a de minimis declaration, as well as proof of invoice, payment confirmation, and participation certificate or examination certificate. With this funding guideline, waff contributes to strengthening corporate cultures in which training and the promotion of young talent are highly valued.
