Support for teaching, research, early-career researchers, and supplementary academic events

The Manfred Ulmer Foundation for Science and Society at the University of Konstanz specifically supports innovative projects in the areas of teaching, research, and supplementary academic events. Selected teaching and research tasks are promoted through ongoing grants in the form of subsidies, and early-career researchers are strengthened. Eligible for funding are members of the University of Konstanz – faculty, researchers, and students – who wish to realize their projects within the framework of education and training, education, research & innovation, or science. Particular attention is given to the practice-oriented implementation of study-accompanying offerings that sustainably enrich the academic profile of the university in Baden-Württemberg. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for short-term project initiations.

The foundation aims to support special tasks in teaching and research as well as activities of early-career researchers, thereby enhancing the quality of the university environment. Fundable measures include exemplary teaching concepts, interdisciplinary research collaborations, and topic-specific workshops or symposia. By providing financial resources, the foundation also contributes to networking between science and society by promoting public discourse and intensifying the exchange between the university and regional stakeholders.
