Description
The state of Hesse supports innovative projects in the fields of logistics, mobility, and electromobility with non-repayable grants. Eligible applicants are public and state-recognized universities, non-university research institutions, non-profit logistics and mobility organizations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered in Hesse. Membership in the House of Logistics and Mobility e.V. and a concrete application reference of the projects are prerequisites. The goal is to strengthen Hesse as a logistics location and to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility solutions through the development of new technologies and the electrification of transport.
Both research and development measures as well as investments in charging infrastructure and electric commercial vehicles are funded. Funding rates between 50% and 90% of eligible expenses are possible. Personnel and material costs, contract research, as well as hardware and software investments are considered, but not travel or real estate costs, retroactive expenses, or debt settlement. Selection is based on the degree of innovation, practical relevance, technical feasibility, sustainability criteria, and relevance to Hesse. Applications can be submitted at any time in a two-stage process – project outline followed by a formal application – to HA Hessen Agentur GmbH. Projects may only commence after the approval notice has been issued.
