Description
The individual funding for persons addicted or at risk of addiction in Vienna provides private grants for recognized counseling, treatment, and care services. The goal is to strengthen healthcare provision through specific measures for social and professional reintegration and prevention of addiction disorders. The funds are paid directly to those institutions recognized after a professional assessment by the City of Vienna – Addiction and Drug Coordination Vienna. Applications can be submitted continuously without an end date, ensuring low-threshold access to professional addiction support measures and individualized assistance for clients at every stage of their recovery.
A prerequisite for funding approval is proof of addiction or risk of addiction, Austrian citizenship or equivalence according to the Vienna Minimum Security Act or Social Assistance Act, or receipt of basic provision benefits under the Vienna Basic Provision Act, as well as main residence or actual stay in Vienna. To apply, proof of identity, registration certificate or comparable residence confirmation, and proof of citizenship or equivalence certificate must be submitted. Consent to data processing by the SDW and periodic submission of interim and final reports by the supervising institution are mandatory. Court-ordered measures are excluded. This open-ended program offers continuous financial support to sustainably secure individual rehabilitation and prevention services in Vienna.
